Seoda Uladh

Seoda Uladh (Jewels of Ulster) is a musical map of Ulster, reimagining lesser-known traditional songs in both Irish and English. With one song drawn from each of the nine counties, and an additional track "for good luck", the album reflects the cultural traditions, history and shared heritage of Ulster through music, song and story.

Each piece begins with a place, a memory, a story, a fragment of home, and the journeys that shape us. The handpicked collection highlights how song and story are inextricably linked and can connect us to that place we call home, wherever in the world we may be.

Fans of Cara Dillon, Pauline Scanlon, Ríoghnach Connolly and Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh connect with Sinéad's heartfelt vocal delivery, rich arrangements, and deep connection to place, belonging and tradition.

The project began in 2023 and brings together some of Ireland's finest musicians, including Seán Óg Graham, Seamie O'Dowd, Cathal Hayden, David J Bell, Rory Madden, Colin Henry, Kieran Leonard, Pádraig McGovern and Conor Crimmins, with additional vocals from Daniel Donnelly, Karen Kirby, Helen Cassidy and Eva McRory.

Inspired by home, heritage, and the voices that shape us, Sinéad invites listeners to find some jewels of their own within this musical map of Ulster.
